Get into the clean mountain air in Linden, Virginia, near the historic Civil War town of Front Royal. There are 3 bedrooms (Master Bedroom Loft with Queen Bed plus two guest bedrooms, each with a double bed) and 3 full baths (one with a double Jacuzzi spa tub). Wildlife, including deer and occasionally black bears, wander through our community and the bird watching is great! "The Nest" is 20 minutes from the Skyline Drive and Appalachian Trail -- the surrounding area (Warren, Clarke, Rappahannock and Fauquier Counties) is full of Civil War sites, fruit stands, country fairs, and antique shops. Various festivals take place on weekends in the Town of Front Royal (Festival of Leaves, Mushroom Festival, Friday Night Concerts on Main Street).
A community pool is open during the summer and there is a tot lot and tennis court and the community center. Our home has a wide variety of games, videos and music CDs. In winter, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is suggested in case of snow on the roads. Linden is an easy drive from Washington DC or Dulles Airport on Route 66 (about 1 hour). Pricing and Rental Terms: Rate for a week is $1,000 for up to 6 persons. Discounts available for stays longer than two weeks. Cleaning and laundry fee is $100 which must be paid with the reservation. Owner reserves the right to collect a refundable security deposit. Maximum occupancy is 7 persons, all over 26 years of age and none under 6 years old. This home is NOT handicapped accessible. Note: Cable TV is NOT provided. We have a DVD player and a collection of videos (VHS). Please reserve 30 days in advance. Reservations are not confirmed until a 25% deposit is received. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice will incur a cancellation fee.
