This charming waterfront retreat is on Connecticut's 76-acre Park Pond in the foothills of the Berkshires, offering four seasons of scenery and outdoor activities. Swim, fish and boat in the spring and summer, leaf-peep, snowshoe, ski, skate and ice fish in winter. The great room offers a stunning water view. Sliding glass doors lead to a large deck with dining area and barbeque grill. The lawn below ends at our small beach and dock. The property has recently been painted and has new landscaping.
The bedroom on the main level has a queen bed and a new bathroom with tub/shower. Upstairs are two more bedrooms (one with twin beds and a water view and one with a daybed and mountain view). Ceiling fans are in every bedroom (there is no air conditioning in this house).
Guests must "go green" and conserve water and soap here because of the delicate balance of nature and the septic system's capacity. For this reason, the property is not appropriate for large parties. There is no dishwasher or clothes washer, nor television reception or cable (but you can watch DVDs on the two color TVs). Children are welcome but this property is on the water. Children must be watched at all times. No pets or smokers permitted.
The town of Winsted (three miles away) offers antique and curio shops, festivals and community events, restaurants, wineries, go-carts, batting cages, a free-public skate park, a multiplex movie theatre, and a dinner movie theater for the 16 and older crowd. Weekends from $600/weekend + $90 Cleaning Fee.

June-August minimum stay is one week (no weekend-only rentals during this period). Weekly rentals begin on Sunday at 6:00 PM and end on Sunday at noon.
Holiday weekends may have a 3-night minimum.
